Job Description

UEI Technology’s Information Security and Risk Management team is seeking a Director of Security Operations, reporting to the Sr. Director of Security Operations and Incident Response. This position is critical to the day to day functions of the Incident Response, Incident Management, and Forensic Investigation units within Cyber Defense.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse, international Cybersecurity Incident Response Team 9
  • Serve as a focal technical lead on alerts and incidents
  • Incident coordination across ISRM and technical response teams
  • Conduct and produce post incident reviews and assist in implementing lessons learned
  • Summarize alerts and incidents effectively to different constituencies such as legal counsel, executive management, and technical staff, both in written and verbal forms
  • Availability outside normal business hours during incidents is a must • Manage individual budgets and vendor contract management

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, equivalent degree; or 7+ years of comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in incident handling and response, forensics, and remediation
  • Relationships with internal and external partners including Legal, HR, Audit, and Law Enforcement
  • Experience with Advance Persistent Threats (APT), cyber criminals, malware, and targeted phishing
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage expectations for projects and programs with the rest of ISRM and other internal partners 10
  • Currently have or can acquire a US government clearance a plus
  • Some travel is required as this position manages a global team, but not more than 10% of the time
